Why is it so hard to figure out what to put on your website?

One of the most common things clients tell me they’re struggling with on their website is “I don’t know what else to put on it.

There’s actually an entire profession dedicated to the art of figuring out what to put on your website – it’s called copywriting. So it’s no wonder that small business owners, who don’t have time to learn how to become an effective copywriter, struggle with this.

I’ve condensed the copywriting knowledge I’ve gained as a professional web designer into a convenient worksheet to help business owners plan out what to include on their website.

The worksheet includes prompts to help guide you through planning out your website, as well as tips and examples for how to write it in an effective way.

🌟 Driving sales from your website doesn't have to feel pushy or salesy – you just have to be intentional about what you include, so that every section on the page is moving your visitor one step closer to reaching out or purchasing from you. 🌟

Can’t I just use ChatGPT or Claude to write the website for me?

Sure you can, if you want your website to sound like everyone else’s. It is so obvious when people use AI to write things (I see it in emails, websites, ads, all over the place) and it ALL sounds the SAME. Copy written by AI often ends up sounding very generic – it’s like fluff text that has no meaning.

And also it is kinda lame as I’m reading something to realize that someone didn’t care enough to write this out themselves – they offloaded the task to AI – so why should I care enough to continue reading it? 🤔

Your website represents your business. Do you want people to see your business as taking shortcuts and not really caring? Then by all means, outsource this task to a chatbot. Good luck with your business! :)
